AFTER #ENDSARS WHAT NEXT?
AFTER #ENDSARS WHAT NEXT?
This past few weeks have been draining for every young Nigerian living in Nigeria. People are in a state of limbo and have taken their anger and sorrow to social media using the hashtags. With the killings of peaceful protesters, vandalizing of shops by government-owned hoodlums, raiding of warehouses where palliatives have been hidden from the poor masses and targeting businesses of prominent politicians not to forget our president’s threat. It is imperative to note that this government is not for the people.
It is now a war of the people versus the government. The government is trying to make sure pieces of evidence are erased, numerous influencers have been paid across the country to gaslight the recent happenings. Now everyone has turned against one another which of course is their aim.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s address to the nation missed the point, his speech broke us and taught us so many lessons.
We need to be informed/enlightened.
We need to be educated.
We need to take the education to the streets.
We need to know our rights. The man on the street( be it a trader, a bus conductor or beggar need to know his/her right).
The northerners must be sensitized.
Use social media massively.
This is not the time to start a tribal war. Do not let them sell tribal or religious sentiments to you. Remember the good times we shared at various protest grounds irrespective of tribes and religion.
Get your Voter’s card.
Be involve in politics. If you have any political ambition start grooming yourself, we do not want to elect those with the mindset of the present leaders we have.
We need a united front. Let Nigeria come first in your heart! The Youth Democratic Party is a journey in progress. We need to overcome the hurdles of power tussles among different interest groups and avoid adopting the political cultures of the old-guard.
Be angry.

We need to use the tactics of the present-day government and resources to our advantage.
NYSC SCHEME – The corp members deploy to every town especially the North have to wake up to their duties. Teach them what government is about, civic education, etc. Let them know Almajiri is a form of slavery, take them back to their Qurans. Teach them how to read and write. Once they have this basic knowledge, they will not be fed with lies.
Hoodlums must be enlightened.
Youths in different government parastatals must also contribute their quotas. They have to put their offices to good use.
We have the brains, human power, technology and our youth to our advantage. To get the Nigeria of our dreams is not going to be a walk in the park.
WE SHALL MAKE NIGERIA GREAT AGAIN!
IF YOU MUST FORGET EVERYTHING, DO NOT FORGET THEY KILLED OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS DURING THE PEACEFUL PROTEST.
